Day 1

As soon as you arrive in Baranja region it is clear, this is a perfect place to relax. Almost completely flat fertile land surrounded by major rivers, Danube and Drava, and dotted by small primarily agricultural villages. You settle in a local ethno house and enjoy warm and friendly hospitality of your hosts experiencing local food and drinks.

Day 2

After breakfast you will visit Nature Park Kopacki rit unique as the area where Danube and Drava meet creating a large network of streams, lakes and channels. Perfect for fishing and famous for bird watching and many other activates. During lunch you will have time to enjoy local culinary specialties. In the afternoon we recommend visiting Belje winery cellars located in Kneževi vinogradi. After delicious dinner you can continue to unwind.

Day 3

In the morning you depart to Nature Park Lonjsko polje. We recommend a hike in and around Kraplje village. Old wooden houses have been renovated to their original 19th century designs and the whole village is protected as a National Architectural Cultural Monument. You can spend the rest of the free time for lunch at a local traditional restaurant. You settle in at a local ethno homestead and for dinner you will enjoy the flavours of Posavina region.

Day 4

After breakfast we have a guided tour of Čigoč – First European Stork Village. In this small village storks greatly outnumber humans and are nesting on almost every house and barn. After free time for lunch you depart towards National Park Plitvice lakes. On arrival at you accommodation you will taste local delicacies of Lika region.

Day 5

When you wake up relaxed and breathing in the cleanest air you have ever experienced you are ready to have breakfast and visit the oldest and most respected National park in Croatia. Visited by more than a million people each year NP Plitvice in a network of 16 lakes separated by naturally created travertine barriers placed inside a canyon surrounded by caves and forests. After the tour you depart towards Krka National park. Dinner and accommodation will showcase the way people of Dalmatinska zagora region used to live and eat.

Day 6

After breakfast you will visit Krka National park famous for 7 travertine waterfalls spanning the height of 242 meters, “Skradinski Buk” is the biggest waterfall in the Park, composed of 17 travertine steps which are 200 to 400 meters wide and overall 45 meters high. We also recommend going on a boat tour to a small island Visovac, a picturesque island in the middle of a lake hosting a Franciscan monastery. After free time for lunch and if the weather serves a swim under a waterfall you go back for dinner and overnight in a local echo homestead.

Day 7

After breakfast you depart towards Zagreb. On your way we recommend visiting Rastoke. A small river delta, which is broken into numerous waterfalls, lakes and rapids which have been used to run the water mills for over 300 years. Combining traditional architecture and nature, Rastoke are a beautiful example of the possible coexistence of man and earth. Your accommodation is on a ethno estate close to Zagreb where you will enjoy dinner and many other local products.

Day 8

After a week of relaxing in beautiful and clean nature you are ready to start preparing for you return home. Breakfast will make sure you do not leave on an empty stomach and we can organise transfers to the airport, train station or the bus station…
